WINSTON-SALEM, NC, February 6, 2008 - The countdown clock continues to draw closer to the All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) season opener in Gainesville, FL on February 29th-March 2nd.

The anticipation is building for racers and fans alike as they prepare for the first burnout and the first quarter-mile pass at the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Bike Week Nationals presented by Gainesville Harley-Davidson.

With a huge contingent of competitors expected at the 2008 opening event, AHDRA as prepared a full schedule that will include 3-days of racing excitement that will lead off with a pre-race celebration at Gainesville Raceway on Friday, February 29th. The AHDRA Nitro Party hosted by Gainesville Harley-Davidson will start at 5:00pm.

Gainesville Harley-Davidson has plenty of excitement planned for the party that includes live music, cold drinks and a chance to win a pair of tickets for all the racing action. It's all happening at the track so fans can enjoy the party and head on over to the grandstands to witness the opening round of AHDRA racing!

The dealership located at 4125 NW 97th Blvd in Gainesville is offering customers the opportunity to catch all of Friday's activities absolutely free simply by visiting the dealership to pick up a complimentary invitation.

A test and tune session will be held prior to the start of competition for AHDRA racers on Friday beginning at 11:00am.

Spectators attending Friday's activities without the free coupon from Gainesville Harley-Davidson will pay $15 at the gate. Be sure to pick up that free coupon! The dealership will also have discount tickets available for the entire weekend of racing.

Racing competition gets under way at the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Nationals Presented by Gainesville Harley-Davidson with a qualifying session for all racers on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, March 1st, qualifying continues, with eliminations beginning on Sunday, March 2nd. Racing gets under way on both days at 9:00 a.m.

Admission is $50 for a weekend pass or $30 for a single day. The admission price includes pit access. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount with a valid H.O.G. card. Admission is free for children 11 and under, and AHDRA offers free admission to active and reserve military personnel with valid identification.
