AHDRA APPROACHING SEASON OPENER MARCH 2ND AND 3RD AT THE SCREAMIN' EAGLE PERFORMANCE PARTS BIKE WEEK NATIONALS PRESENTED BY GAINESVILLE HARLEY-DAVIDSON, GAINESVILLE, FL

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., February 17, 2004 - AHDRA plans to open the 2004 season in a big way on March 2nd and 3rd at Gainesville Raceway. The inaugural event takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday in conjunction with the famed Daytona Bike Week schedule.

Leading off the event will be exciting announcements from AHDRA and Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts that will make the 2004 year the best ever for the sanction, which is entering its 27th year in motorcycle drag racing.

Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts is back as title sponsor for the Gainesville event, and as class sponsor in four categories of competition, including Nitro Harley, V-Rod, SEP (11.50 index), and Syn3 ET racing.

AHDRA is proud to have Gainesville Harley-Davidson returning as presenting sponsor in the season opener. General Manager John Boots and the entire staff of Gainesville Harley-Davidson have been instrumental in bringing the AHDRA to Gainesville. Their support will play a vital role in making the event successful.

The Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Nationals Presented by Gainesville Harley-Davidson will host a huge field of racers from the east and west coasts, making up fourteen classes of competition.

Gainesville Harley-Davidson will lead off pre-race activities at the dealership on Sunday, February 29th, at the official Kick-Start Party from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Race bikes will be on display along with food, discount tickets, and plenty of fun for visitors. The dealership is located at 4125 N.W. 97th Blvd, Gainesville, FL.

Racing action gets under way at Gainesville Raceway on Tuesday, March 3rd, with qualifying at 9:00 a.m. On Wednesday, March 4th, eliminations for Sportsman begin at 9:00 a.m., and the Pros are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Gates open both days at 8:00 a.m.

Admission is $40 for two days or $25 for a single-day pass. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount at the gate, and children aged 11 and younger are admitted free. Active military and reserve personnel will receive free admission with valid identification at the gate.
