AHDRA Announces Big News for Season Opener: 2002 National Purse Increased!

Winston-Salem, N.C., February 22, 2002- Craig Tharpe, President, General Manager of AHDRA announced today that additional dollars will be added to the 2002 National Event Purse.

The added winnings will be spread throughout all 13 classes of competition raising the total 2002 National Purse to over $600,000, up an additional $70,000 from 2001.

"The AHDRA has a fine group of loyal racers competing in our sanction", Tharpe stated. "I'm pleased to take this opportunity to reward their efforts and encourage participation from new racers for the 2002 season."

The AHDRA will enter the season with the largest contingency posting ever for competitors, which will bring the total cash and prize postings near 1,000,000 for 2002.
