S & S Cycle makes $10,000 Announcement
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., February 25, 2003 - With less than a week before the
season opener in
Gainesville, Florida, AHDRA announces a larger 2003 event purse,
contingency posting increases and a special announcement for S & S Pro Stock competitors.
AHDRA President, Craig Tharpe says this year will be the most exciting season ever. "We've added nearly $10,000 to each event purse which totals over $800,000 for the season. With that added to the contingency postings that are still coming in daily, we will start the season with well over a million dollars posted in cash and prizes". Tharpe added that he owes a lot of gratitude to those who make it possible. "We are so fortunate to have loyal support from our sponsors. They have truly stepped up to the plate this year, and we hope to make the experience rewarding for both the sponsors and competitors".
Stepping up in a big way indeed, will be S & S Cycle as they announced yesterday a $10,000 cash reward for this year's S & S Pro Stock National point's champion. "That's huge news for the Pro Stock class", Tharpe commented. "It will be the largest payout ever for the class and we look for it to be a thrilling year for them. Our hats off to the folks at S & S Cycle for believing in the sport and lending their generous support."
