NITRO PILOTS INVADE ALIEN TERRITORY! AHDRA Makes First Time Appearance in Roswell, New Mexico

The smell..The roar..The trail of smoke filled power. It was nothing like the people of Roswell had ever encountered. Where did it come from? Who were these suited up beings blazing down the 1/4 mile asphalt?

The fastest Nitro Harleys on earth will take over "Alien" territory on April 13th & 14th when AHDRA makes a first time appearance at Roswell Dragway. AHDRA's Craig Tharpe says the "Alien Nationals" at Roswell Dragway are a welcome addition to the AHDRA 25th Anniversary Tour schedule. "We were looking to add a venue in the Western parts. The reception received from the Roswell area has been tremendous already, including great excitement from surrounding Harley-Davidson dealers. We are looking to bring our level of competition and entertainment to new markets and the folks at Roswell Dragway have made it possible".

"Grant Langford, owner of Roswell Dragway lends a great deal of support to the AHDRA's first appearance, Tharpe added. Langford reports that complete concrete guardrails have been added along with brand new concessions and restrooms".

"We are excited to have AHDRA appear at our facility", Langford commented. "This area is starved for motorsports. The people here haven't seen a fuel bike at this track in several years when Roswell was under different ownership. We have invested over $50,000 in track improvements that will be beneficial for both the racers and fans." When asked about the obvious references to "Aliens" at the Roswell Dragway, Langford added, "We love them..they taste just like chicken"!

The "Alien Nationals" will be particularly convenient for the competitors of AHDRA as they will be able to travel to New Mexico directly from the nearby Phoenix, AZ event one week prior".

AHDRA brings 13 classes of competition to Roswell Dragway, including 3 nitro-powered classes, the world's quickest Pro Stock action, Pro Modified, Pro Gas excitement and the best street bike riders in the world.

Racing gets underway on Friday, with a test and tune session. Gates open on the weekend at 8am, with qualifying on Saturday at 10:30am and Eliminations on Sunday at 12:30pm.

Admission is $35 for the weekend, $20 Saturday and $25 Sunday. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount and Children under 12 are admitted free.
