HACIENDA HARLEY-DAVIDSON FIRES UP THE PHOENIX ACTION EARLY WITH ANNUAL KICK START PARTY AND CHARITY RUN
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., March 25, 2003- The Rivera Engineering-Primo Belt Drives Arizona Bike Week Nationals are set for April 5th & 6th at Firebird International Raceway and the excitement will get underway early when Hacienda Harley-Davidson hosts the annual Kick Start party and Colter Charity Run.
The Kick Start party fun starts at 6:00pm on Friday, April 4th at Hacienda Harley-Davidson located on North Hayden Avenue, in Scottsdale. The party has grown beyond the dealership's expectations, with nearly 8,000 Arizona Bike Week fans attending in 2002.
This year's party will be even bigger, with live entertainment, AHDRA race bike displays and the return of the Miss Arizona Bike Week Contest. Riders can also register for the Colter Charity Run leaving from the dealership on Saturday morning and ending at Firebird International Raceway for the world's fastest motorcycle drag racing action.
The Colter Charity Run was named in honor of Hacienda Harley-Davidson owner, Rick Hatch's son, Colter, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. Proceeds from the annual ride will aid in the building of a new Teen Crisis Center.
Participants in the Colter Charity Run will be treated to a free pancake breakfast on Saturday morning and t-shirts and pins will be provided for the first 500 registrants. Riders interested in participating can register on site at Friday's Kick Start Party, or visit the website at www.usbike.com.
The AHDRA hosts 16 classes of competition including three nitro classes, Modified Gas bikes, Pro Stock, Street Bikes, Junior Dragsters and more.
ESPN2's Inside Drag Racing will cover the action at Firebird International Raceway, the 2nd of eight races to be televised for the 2003 series. Broadcast dates for the Rivera-Primo Arizona Bike Week Nationals presented by Hacienda Harley-Davidson will be posted on www.ahdra.com following the event.
Gates open at Firebird International Raceway Saturday at 7:00am with Qualifying at 9:00am. Sunday, gates open at 8:00am with Sportsman eliminations at 9:00am and Pro Eliminations at 12:30pm.
Admission prices to the Rivera-Primo Arizona Bike Week Nationals presented by Hacienda Harley-Davidson are $40 for 2-days and $25 for single day admission. Children under 12 are admitted free and H.O.G, members will receive a $5 discount at the gate with a valid H.O.G. card. (Prices include pit access)
