AHDRA STONE MOUNTAIN HARLEY-DAVIDSON SOUTHERN NATIONALS PRESENTED BY DRAG SPECIALTIES WILL BE "ONE TO WATCH"

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., May 25, 2005-AHDRA heads to Atlanta Dragway this weekend-May 28th and 29th for what promises to be a head to head competition on the quarter mile strip.

Following AHDRA's west coast outing at Famoso Raceway, the championship point's standings are as close as it gets in many of the 15 classes of competition offered up in the Screamin' Eagle Championship Series.

Doug Vancil of Albuquerque, NM grabbed a first 05 win in California giving him the lead in the Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley points chase. Following close behind Vancil is Larry "Drums" Brancaccio of Nutley, NJ and just barely behind Drums is Tracy Kile of Hatsfield, PA. Less than 50 points separate the top three and this trio will battle it out for pole position at Atlanta Dragway.

Ohio's Chris Streeter and Floridian Mike Lehman are the front-runners in the JIMS Pro Fuel category and both are expected to compete in Georgia.

Dale Raudenbush of Old Zionsville, PA will look to increase his lead in S & S Pro Stock. Raudenbush has 18 points on veteran racer Dave Feazell of Hudson, IA. Raudenbush will be on the track this weekend although there is no confirmation on Feazell attending.

Tripp Nobles (Statesville, NC) and Jamie McNaughton (Milwaukee, WI) will give V-Rod fans plenty of excitement as the pair continue the race for points in Screamin' Eagle V-Rod competition. McNaughton currently leads champion Nobles following a win in California.

John Burdynski of Hosuton, TX and Mike Roberts of Akron, OH head up the top two-leader board respectively in Drag Masters Hot Street with only 21 points separating them.

Brett DeGood of Mt. Top, PA sits 13 points in front of New Mexico's Greg Krenik in Rucker Performance Super Gas racing and following double wins for Krenik in California he holds the lead in S & S Super Sport racing in addition to his 2nd place standing in Super Gas.

Robert McConnell of Greenwood, LA made it to finals in a pair of classes in California as well, taking the win in SEP index racing. He's sitting closely behind Florida's Donnie Huffman in that point's chase and only 10 points separate McConnell and JP Hendrzak in Syn3 ET racing following Hendrzak's win in California.

Fans will see the best of the best in competition this weekend when these riders and several hundred more take the track Saturday at Atlanta Dragway for qualifying at 9:00am.

On Sunday, eliminations for Sportsman classes begin at 9:00am and Pro eliminations kick off at 12:30pm.
