AHDRA TEAMS UP WITH MARCH OF DIMES "BIKERS FOR BABIES" FOR 1-DAY EVENT,
SEPTEMBER 16TH AT FARMINGTON MOTORSPORTS PARK

Winston-Salem, NC, May 22, 2007 - The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) has announced a joint fundraising campaign with the March of Dimes "Bikers For Babies" charity.

AHDRA will sanction a regional-style, one-day drag race on Sunday, September 16, at Farmington Motorsports Park in Mocksville, NC.

AHDRA will offer a selection of both Pro and Sportsman classes of competition on the eighth-mile dragstrip along with Top Fuel Nitro Harley exhibitions.

In addition to racing, there will be plenty of activities at the event that will benefit the March of Dimes campaign, including live music, plenty of vendors, and more.

A feature attraction at the event will be the annual Carolina's Full Throttle Magazine Ride-In Bike Show.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can start the day by joining the Bikers for Babies Ride procession that will depart from Curly's Harley-Davidson, in Winston-Salem, NC, at 11:00 a.m. and arrive at Farmington Motorsports Park at 12noon. (Registration begins at 9:00am) The fee for participating in the ride procession is $30 for the rider plus a $10 fee for a passenger. The ride includes breakfast and a "Blessing of the Bikes" at the launch site, and lunch and admission at Farmington Motorsports Park.

The gates at Farmington Motorsports Park will open Sunday at 8:00 a.m., with racing competition getting under way at 1:00 p.m.

Between competition rounds the dragstrip will open up for fun and grudge runs for spectators for $5 donations to the March of Dimes. Riders will be required to have full covered shoes, a Snell-approved helmet, and gloves.

Spectator admission to Farmington Motorsports Park is $20. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount. Fifty percent of proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes. Children 11 and under are admitted free. AHDRA also offers free admission for active and reserve military personnel.

AHDRA President Craig Tharpe says that he and his staff are happy to join forces with the March of Dimes for this first-time event. "It is our pleasure to be part of such a worthy fundraising effort that will make a difference in so many lives," he noted. "We hope that racers, fans, and sponsors alike will come together to join us in supporting the Bikers for Babies event."

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies, and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth.
