WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., June 5, 2006 - Norwalk Raceway Park has been the stage for many AHDRA national records, including the historical "first in the 30s" mark for former Screamin' Eagle Top Fuel Champion, Steve Stordeur in 2001.

Years later, Nitro-Harley riders have touched the 6.30 zone on numerous occasions and Doug Vancil—a former champion himself currently holds the quarter mile record with his 6.309 mark from Las Vegas just last year and he still holds the eighth mile E.T. record (4.094) he set at Norwalk Raceway Park in 2004.

With that said, it's a sure bet that riders in all sixteen classes of AHDRA competition will be out to get their names in the record books at this weekend's Roeder Harley-Davidson Buckeye Nationals presented by Drag Specialties.

The action on the strip this weekend at Norwalk Raceway Park is all part of the excitement of Ohio's North Coast Thunder Rally.

The rally in Sandusky, OH, which goes from June 2nd -June 11th, includes rides, a block party, a poker run, a World record motorcycle jump, live entertainment nightly and of course—AHDRA drag racing at Norwalk Raceway Park!

North Coast Thunder Rally organizers have found that combining the rally with the racing venue provides an experience that appeals to motorcyclists, racing fans and the general public alike.

In addition to the many activities that will take place at Roeder Harley-Davidson during the rally, they will also host pre-race festivities at the AHDRA Nitro Party at the Sandusky location on Friday, 5:00-9:00pm. The party will include AHDRA racers, an appearance by the V-Twin Girls of V-TwinGirls.com, live entertainment, a Hot Rod & Bike cruise-in, food, vendors, and more.

Racing gets under way at Norwalk Raceway Park this Saturday and Sunday (June 10th & 11th) at 9:00 a.m.

Admission is $40 for the weekend and $25 for a single-day pass. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount and children 11 and under are admitted free. Free admission is also offered to active military and reserve personnel.

Discount tickets are available in advance at Roeder Harley-Davidson in Sandusky.
