WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., July 11, 2006 - The All Harley Drag Racing Association's first-time national appearance at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, IA, is coming up on July 22nd and 23rd.

The S & S Midwest Nationals presented by the Midwest Harley-Davidson Dealers promises to be a hot ticket for racers and fans alike.

Beginning its life as common farm ground, Tri-State Raceway has been transformed into one of the Midwest's premier motorsports facilities, attracting racers on a weekly basis from Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, as well as the state of Iowa.

AHDRA will expand that participation with a large contingent of racers from both the East and West coasts, hosting 15 classes of competition that will include 200 mph Nitro Harleys, Modified gas bikes, street bikes, and '06 factory-released V-Rod Destroyer dragbikes.

With the AHDRA Screamin' Eagle Championship series marking its midpoint in the season, this event is expected to showcase extraordinary competition on the quarter-mile, all-concrete surface.

Event title sponsor S & S Cycle, along with nearly 20 presenting Midwest Harley-Davidson dealers, is responsible for bringing the event to Earlville.

Several of the participating dealers will host AHDRA Nitro Parties on Friday, July 21st, in a pre-race celebration. The parties will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and will include racebike displays, discount tickets, and more. Party locations include Wilwert's H-D, Dubuque, IA; Silver Eagle H-D, Waterloo, IA; Metro H-D, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Hawkeye H-D in Coralville, IA.

Racing at Tri-State Raceway gets under way on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. with qualifying sessions. On Sunday, sportsman eliminations begin at 9:00 a.m., with the opening round of Pro eliminations at 12:30 p.m.

Gates open for spectators both days at 8:00 a.m.

Admission is $40 for the weekend or $25 for a single-day pass. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount with valid membership at the gate and children 11 and under are admitted free. AHDRA also offers free admission for active and reserve military personnel with proper identification.
