AHDRA HEADS TO WOODBURN DRAGSTRIP FOR THE TEAM LATUS MOTORS HARLEY-DAVIDSON NORTHWEST NATIONALS, SEPTEMBER 6TH AND 7TH
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., September 2, 2003 - The countdown to the big finish is under way as AHDRA heads to Woodburn, Oregon, this weekend for the first of the remaining four events of the 2003 National Points series.
Riders from the U.S. and Canada are expected to compete at Woodburn Dragstrip, including Ron Houniet of Maple Ridge, B.C., the current champion of Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley Top Fuel. Houniet is expected to compete against Albuquerque, N.M.'s Doug Vancil and the Vance and Hines/Drag Specialties team who are sure bets for the 2004 Championship title among many other heavy hitters in the 200 mph nitro-burning class of competition.

Oregon fans can catch local riders in action - including Oregon City's Steve Dorn, who is leading the Kresto Pro Drag National Points race after a six-in-a- row streak of wins. Ken Wright of Portland, OR, is also on the roster in Pro Drag competition, along with Joker Machine Pro Modified contender Cliff Dwy of Madras, OR, and Verl Smith and Randy Borho, Oregon natives both, who will take the track in Rivera-Primo Street Pro action.
AHDRA is pleased to have Latus Motors Harley-Davidson on board as this year's title sponsor. The dealership plans to bring plenty of excitement to those attending the Oregon event.

Race fans can meet the racers of AHDRA when Team Latus Motors Harley-Davidson hosts the AHDRA Kickstart Party on Friday, September 5th, 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the dealership, which is located on 7421 N.E. Beech Street in Portland, OR.
Racing gets under way at Woodburn Dragstrip on Saturday, with qualifying at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday, Sportsman eliminations begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by Pro eliminations at 12:15 p.m. Gates open both days at 8:00 a.m.
Also on Sunday, AHDRA will welcome hundreds of riders participating in Liverpalooza3, a ride to raise funds to find a cure for Hepatitis-C. The ride will depart from Team Latus Motors Harley-Davidson and arrive at Woodburn Dragstrip at 11:30 a.m. For more information, visit www.kupl.com.
Admission to the Team Latus Motors Harley-Davidson Northwest Nationals is $40 for the weekend and $25 for a single-day pass. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount at the gate and children under 12 are admitted free.
