THE FIELD IS SET FOR UPCOMING SCREAMIN' EAGLE NITRO HARLEY EXHIBITION AT THE AMERIQUEST MORTGAGE NHRA NATIONALS

Winston-Salem, N.C., September 14, 2005 - While the AHDRA Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Championship Series is in the midst of the closest national points battle in many years, riders in the Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley Top Fuel class will be taking time out to compete at the Ameriquest Mortgage NHRA Nationals on September 29th-Ocotber 2nd in Joliet, IL.

Ten riders are confirmed for the exhibition series at the NHRA-sanctioned event. The riders are selected for competition at NHRA based on the AHDRA Screamin' Eagle Top Fuel points standings.

The Joliet, IL, appearance will be the final of three events scheduled in the Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley Exhibition series.

Ron Houniet of Mission B.C., Canada, won the first exhibition appearance in Las Vegas back in April, and Mike Romine of Sturgis, MI, won the Bristol outing on May 1st in Bristol, TN.

Houniet will be unable to attend the Joliet event, but Romine is on the roster and confirmed to compete. He is currently in a tight points battle with Doug Vancil for the AHDRA Screamin' Eagle Top Fuel National Championship.

Vancil (of Albuquerque, NM) will also compete in Joliet along with Mike Lehman of W. Palm Beach, FL; Tracy Kile of Hatfield, PA; Takeshi Shigematsu of Iyo Ehine, Japan; Larry "Drums" Brancaccio of Nutley, NJ; Tommy Grimes of Pfafftown, NC; Jay Turner of Whitsett, NC; Mike Ferris of Bradenton, FL; and Mark Cox of Yadkinville, NC.

Riders compete for a total purse of $12,000 at the NHRA exhibition event, which includes a cash prize of $4,000 to the winner and $2,000 for the runner-up.

Following the Joliet event, the 2005 AHDRA Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Championship Series heads to Rockingham, NC, on October 15th and 16th and to Las Vegas on November 12th and 13th.
