RACERS AND FANS ARE GEARING UP FOR THE SCREAMIN' EAGLE PERFORMANCE PARTS NATIONALS PRESENTED BY DRAG SPECIALTIES - THIS WEEKEND IN ROCKINGHAM, NC

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, October 4, 2006- It's a sure sign of the fall season as eager racers and fans prepare for AHDRA's final East Coast appearance on this weekend at Rockingham Dragway.
Known as "The Rock," the famed dragway is high on the list of favorites for racers and fans alike.
Over 300 competitors are expected to take the track in the16 classes of competition offered up in AHDRA's 2006 Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Championship Series, including 220 mph nitro Harleys, street bikes, and more.
For the fans, the weekend camping at Rockingham Dragway makes for a full three days of racing, cookouts, and plenty of partying. On Saturday night, North Carolina's PeacePipe band will entertain the crowd until midnight.
In addition to the ample supply of racing and partying, fans can get an up-close look at the machines and the racers who pilot them. A huge array of vendors will be on hand as well, along with noted bike builder Kendall Johnson.

The Wheels Through Time traveling museum will showcase the nostalgic Harley-Davidson display, and H.O.G. members can take advantage of the official H.O.G. Pit Stop on location at Rockingham Dragway. H.O.G. members will receive a free pin and refreshments with paid admission.
A pre-race celebration will take place on Friday, October 13th, at Cox's Harley-Davidson in Asheboro, NC. The AHDRA Nitro party (5:00-9:00 p.m.) will host race bike displays, music, food and more. Cox's Harley-Davidson is located at 2795 North Carolina Highway 134 in Asheboro.
Racing gets under way on Saturday with qualifying at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday, sportsman eliminations begin at 9:00 a.m. and Pro eliminations fire up at 12:30 p.m.
On Friday, gates will open at 10:00 a.m. for racers, vendors, and spectators purchasing weekend passes. A test-and-tune session will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Gates open Saturday at 7:00 a.m. and Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
Admission is $40 for the weekend and $25 for a single-day pass. There is an additional $10 spectator camping fee on Friday. Children 11 and under are admitted free, as are active military and reserve personnel.
Discount tickets will be available at many Carolina Harley-Davidson dealers, including Cox's Harley-Davidson (Asheboro, NC), Cape Fear Harley-Davidson (Fayetteville, NC), Ray Price Harley-Davidson (Raleigh, NC) and Collier Harley-Davidson of Roanoke Rapids.
