Taking place November 9-11 at the Fairplex in Pomona, California Bike Week is a three-day premier motorcycle event created for the motorsports enthusiast in all of us. With national-caliber AHDRA drag racing, flat track racing, demo rides from the world's biggest OEMs, freestyle stunt exhibitions, vendors, premium food and beverage outlets, and the star-studded, world-famous Love Ride, this event will rival some of the largest consumer shows and rallies in the U.S.

AHDRA is proud to be a part of this history-making event and will lead off the two-wheeled action at the Auto Club Raceway at Pomona on November 9th and 10th at AHDRA's California Bike Week Nationals presented by Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson.

Racers from all over the country will compete in sixteen classes of competition offered by AHDRA. At stake for racers competing in Pomona are cash and prizes totaling over $100,000. Impressive enough, but it's not just cash and prizes up for grabs-there are coveted performance points to be earned toward the ultimate prize at season's end: the 2007 National Championship title.

Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson has joined forces with AHDRA as the presenting sponsor to promote the excitement as this spectacular sport heads to Pomona.

The dealership, located just minutes from the dragstrip, will host a pre-race celebration on Thursday, November 8th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. AHDRA racers will be on hand for autographs and to offer fans a sneak preview of their high-powered machines. Laidlaw's will also host contest raffles, burgers at the In & Out trailer, and much more. Discount tickets to the race will also be available at the dealership. To contact Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson, please call 626-851-0412 or visit them online at www.laidlawsharley.com.

AHDRA racing begins on Friday, November 9th, with qualifying at 8:00 a.m. On Saturday, November 10th, eliminations begin for sportsman classes at 8:00 a.m. and the pros take the track at 11:30 a.m.

Admission for AHDRA racing at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona is $30 a day or $50 for both days. Admission includes complimentary motorcycle parking, admission to trade show/vendor areas, and stunt shows and general entertainment.

AHDRA will host an "Official H.O.G. Pitstop" on both Friday and Saturday at the raceway. H.O.G. members get a free pin with paid admission to the races.

What started out as a club racing organization in the late seventies has now grown into a national racing sanction that hosts hundreds of competitors and thousands of spectators at state-of-the-art facilities across the United States. California Bike Week

Love Ride 24

More on California Bike Week and Love Ride 24:
"California Bike Week is for every motorcycle enthusiast, whether you ride, race, or just like to watch, and whether you're into Harleys, Hondas, dirt bikes, sport bikes, or cruisers," says John Buck, California Bike Week's new Executive Director. "Everyone's welcome, and there's so much for everyone to see and do with all the racing, demo riding, exhibits, and shopping. It will be clear that California Bike Week is an enthusiast experience not to be missed."

Says Love Ride founder and owner of Glendale Harley-Davidson/Buell, Oliver Shokouh, "We're happy to be part of this inaugural event and to move the Love Ride to the Fairplex." He adds, "We certainly owe much of the success of the Love Ride® to Castaic Lake and the wonderful residents there, but because of that very reason the event outgrew the facility and had to look at options. California Bike Week and the Fairplex offered the room we needed, and the bigger the party, the more money we can raise for charity and that's really what the Love Ride is all about."

Jay Leno will return as the Grand Marshall and Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame singer/songwriter Gregg Allman will headline the entertainment. But nothing else will be the same once Love Ride 24 rolls out of Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale the morning of November 11th, 2007. Thanks to several new partnerships and strategic alliances there's a new route, a new venue, and a new sense of purpose to the world's largest one-day motorcycle charity event.

This year's Love Ride will head to the Fairplex in Pomona and will cap the festivities of an inaugural California Bike Week. "For years we've wanted more activities and events for motorcycle riders in California-something to offer all motorcyclists-and now we've got it," says Oliver Shokouh, owner of Glendale Harley-Davidson and founder of the Love Ride. "California Bike Week features things motorcyclists have wanted for years, no matter what brand or style of motorcycle they ride. And it will all be concluded with Love Ride 24 on Sunday, November 11th."

About Love Ride:
Glendale Harley-Davidson owner Oliver Shokouh founded the Love Ride twenty-four years ago as a way to raise money for muscular dystrophy and local children's charities. Since then, the Love Ride Foundation has given over $20 million to organizations right here in our community. This past August, in recognition of his achievements with the Love Ride, Shokouh was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall Of Fame.

The California Bike Week partnership is composed of the Southern California Harley-Davidson Dealer Association, the Northern California Harley-Davidson Dealer Association, and The Love Ride Foundation®.
