WINSTON-SALEM, NC, October 24, 2007 — The excitement is building as the All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) prepares for the grand finale to a gripping season of racing in the 2007 Screamin' Eagle Championship Series.
The Rush Las Vegas Nationals Presented by Barnett Clutches is the big finish to a colossal season for racers, sponsors, and the many loyal fans who follow the series and await the crowning of the 2007 National Champions. There's no better setting for such a celebration than The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Anticipating enormous competitor entries at this last race of the season, AHDRA has added a third day of racing to the event to accommodate the huge fields of competition expected.
Racers will take the track for a qualifying session on Friday, November 16th at 12:00pm.
Also happening on Friday it's the Screamin' Eagle High Stakes Shootout returning to The Strip with $15,000 cash up for grabs.
The Shootout is open to both professional and novice Harley-Davidson racers. The competition begins on Friday at 5:00pm.
AHDRA qualifying will continue on Saturday, November 17th at 8:00am and the Screamin' Eagle Shootout finalists will compete at 1:00pm.
On Sunday, November 18th, eliminations for sportsman categories begin at 8:00am and the Pro's take the track for elimination rounds at 11:30am.
Admission to the Rush Las Vegas Nationals Presented by Barnett Clutches is $50 for the weekend and $30 for single-day passes. Children 11 and under are admitted free; there is also free admission for active and reserve military personnel. H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount.
AHDRA offers sixteen classes of competition including the fire breathing, nitro methane burning Nitro Harleys that blaze the ¼ mile at over 220mph in just six seconds, along with modified gas bikes, street bikes and more.
