Words From Maura
I guess for all of us who have raced, we' will never forget the first pass.
The anticipation, the excitement, and the adrenaline build up until you think you'll explode, - then you release the clutch, and the tire chirps, and the tunnel vision sets in.
For just those brief seconds everything around you disappears. It is just you, the bike, and the track. The euphoria that sets in is almost indescribable.
All the pressures of everyday life are gone, everyone is equal, and for just a short period of time you are truly living in the moment. How many times in life can we really say we did that?
Neither life nor death can break the ties that bind us. Hold onto your faith, listen to your heart and know that there are no real endings, just new beginnings.
All of us have gifts, some of us practice those gifts daily, I am one of them and I hope that what I've learned can help you in some way.
Blessings,
Maura
