HAYES JEWELERS OF LEXINGTON, N.C. STEPS UP TO AHDRA PRO GAS CLASS TITLE FOR 2003

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., December 18, 2002-The AHDRA announced the signing of Hayes Jewelers as the 2003 title sponsor of the Pro Gas class.

Hayes Jewelers, known as the "King of Diamonds", was started in 1939 as a small family jewelry shop by the late Delmar Hayes. Since that time, it has grown to become one of the top Diamond stores on the East Coast.

Nothing makes current owner, Bruce Hayes prouder than to hear his store referred to as a Diamond Superstore. Hayes Jewelers is centrally located to most of North Carolina's larger cities and towns, but don't be surprised to see many states represented in their parking lot. We are devoted to our customers and they continue to come back year after year. That makes us proud!

Hayes Jewelers came on board with AHDRA in the 2002 season as a Junior Dragster class sponsor and found it to be a rewarding venture. Looking to step up their involvement, Hayes will lend his support to the AHDRA Pro Gas Class in 2003.

"I think this is one of the most up and coming racing sports out there", Hayes says of his AHDRA experience. "I think it will become one of the main attractions for race fans in the future, and we are happy to be a part of it."

With speeds of 178 miles-per-hour in 7 seconds, the "Hayes Jewelers Pro Gas" class is the only unlimited cubic inch class in AHDRA competition and includes many of the most exotic super charged, turbo charged, alcohol burning dragsters built specifically for all out drag racing.

The AHDRA will offer fifteen classes of competition in the 2003 and will kick off the season March 3rd - March 5th in Gainesville, Fl.
