None of this is an insult to Lou. He always had a good reputation and tried to right by his employees. The economy or management or whatever seems to have impacted this business.

Ranger, as with any other job that I have done for the last 21 years, I stand behind it. You said I made a mistake but then failed to bring or send the part back to be fixed. I can't fix it via email or over the phone. And sorry, since it's my phone, I think I reserve the right to decide whether I am going to stop what I'm doing and run to catch it.
Email is ALWAYS the best way to reach me. If you'd prefer badmouthing me on the internet to getting your part fixed, that is your perrogative. I am human and make an occasional mistake like anyone else.

not for nothing but john been great to me. had a bad set of wheelie bars done and some small repairs when i was back there running. kept me from missing any races. has always responded to my emails and returned my phone calls. thanks john i think your chassis are the best and you really go out of your way to help out.( even the smaller budget racers cant say little guys becuase god knows i havent been little since maybe i was 10 years old lol) tony tf927

as a weekendframe customer i have nothing but good things to say about a builder who"s work is fantastic and has went beyond to sent me pieces promptly, would call on him again in a minute....

Put me down as a satisified Weekend Customer. John is a very good communicator and has responded to all our questions and requests. We can't wait to get our new bike in the coming weeks as soon as the CF body shows up in his shop. Which by the way is out of his control since he outsources the carbon fiber body. As soon as he gets it and mounts it the bike will be on its way to PA. Thanks John.

john i was makin a point as to how everyone on here loves to beat up on each other or a company that has a problem. s.t.d. was theee head to run until the billet stuff came out.WHAT ABOUT THOSE FOLKS AT S.T.D. THAT LOST THIER JOBS AND THIER FAMILIES. I have no sympathy for those fuckers at STD. They ripped me off my money for set of panheads I ordered.. and how many other people did they fuck by taking their money knowing full well they were going under. They quality went to poop, their service was horrible.. it's no wonder that they are not around.
That company was well founded by Lou and willed to the employees, they only ones that they can thank for the mess they are in is themselves!.
Lou must be rolling in his grave.

I specked 7/8ths bars from day one , are you still laughing about sending me a one inch shift button ? send me the correct one , I'll return your humor , all square ? (and replaces PM clamp)

ain't you the guy that makes his own billet shovelheads why you gotta order heads from s.t.d. why didn't you just slap a billet in your cnc and make set of panheads yourself. if you lost your deposit why don't you try civil court.see what i mean folks plug in your brain before your lips flap.lets see what you can produce from your shop. not much market for shovelheads or panheads for that matter and s&s has got that sewn up anyhow thats one of the reasons s.t.d. is out of business it's hard to compete with the big boys with all the $$$$$ over the years i used s.t.d they took good care of me but i also communicated with them when i had an order placed on at least a weekly basis to check status of my orders most of the whinin takes place way after the fact instead of makin sure you got it goin in your direction.
