Cox Moves to Pro Fuel Class for Bristol - Will Ride Bojangles-Sponsored Romine Racing Harley

August 5, 2012

Mark Cox is ready to ride at the All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) Thunder in the Valley Nationals Presented by 95.9 The HOG and 93.9 FM94 on August 3-4 at Bristol Dragway, Bristol, Tennessee. Cox will campaign aboard a Romine Racing Pro Fuel Harley-Davidson.

"I’m really excited about this weekend’s race at Bristol," said Mark Cox, a former AHDRA Pro Dragster National champion. "It was unfortunate for me that Johnny Vickers sold the bike I rode earlier this year and didn't have another option for us, but am really pleased we were able to put together a deal with Jack Romine to ride one of their meticulously prepared bikes."

"It will be great to be back on an injected bike and back into the 'over 200 mph' club," added Cox. "These Pro Fuel bikes are always a blast to ride. With the challenging high altitude at Bristol, I'm hoping that's an advantage for the non-carburetor bikes like this one."

The Thunder in the Valley National will feature qualifying on Friday night and a Saturday night race, a little different to the usual Saturday/Sunday schedule of most AHDRA race weekend. Mark Cox Racing is scheduled to run one additional race this season, the Jim McClure Nitro Nationals at Rockingham Dragway, Rockingham, NC on Oct. 13-14.
